Hi Chicsters hope you guys are having a lovely week today’s post is a continuation of my NYFW diary basically I am sharing what I ate, wore, saw + tips. Originally I was going to do an all in one recap, however, during that processes, I realized it was just a lot so if you haven’t seen the day one’s post check it out HERE.
Day 2
FRIDAY 9/8
10:30 am- Arrive at metropolitan West Pavillion
This year NYFW was made even more special because theCurvycon was happening in the midst of it, if you dont know about the theCurvyCon check out this POST. So essentially day 2 and 3 were basically devoted to it. I saw a limited amount of shows because I wanted to support the conference.

We started off the day with the Target-sponsored workout session.
12:00 pm – arrived at 2West
We headed back the hotel and decided to go for brunch, we went to the 2West which was located in the Ritz Carlton in Battery Park. The food was satisfying and generous enough because honey the way NYFW goes I didn’t know when next I would be eating so I cleared most of my plate.
4:00pm – arrived at Skylight Clarkson Sq
I headed to the Chromat show at Clarkson Square the official NYFW space. This was my 2nd time being invited to the Chromat Show and as usual, their show did not disappoint. Not only was their size diversity there was color and age diversity a huge kudos to their team for being pioneers #theydiditbeforeitwascool .

6:00 pm- back at metropolitan West Pavillion
After the Chromat show, I headed to theCurvycon show space for what was left of the sip and shop and for the Dia and Co. runway show. Meet up with Val and Anita. Was able to peruse upcoming fall collections and network with brands ( Stitchfix, Macys, Simplybe, Modcloth, and so many others).

My outfit of the day was again tailored for comfort. I wore a printed yellow kimono from Forever21 size XL , a yellow tank, my good American jeans, Valentino like flats (SIZE UP) and my trusty striped Zara bag (SIMILAR).
7:45 pm – Arrived at the Micheal Costello presentation
Again just like the Chromat show I was happy to see size, age ( there was even a little girl ) and color inclusion. Micheal Costello garments🔥. Loved the palette there was a lot of blush, creams, and baby blue. Also tons of lace, tulle, and gems basically in one word gorgeous.
11:30 pm – Dinner at Broadstone Bar and kitchen
We were so tired that we ended up getting to go’s.
Be prepared for three things when coming to NYC especially Manhattan food, hotel prices, and uber rides $$$ which is one of the reasons why it’s great to come with a partner so you can split the financial burden. Additionally, if you are coming for NYFW because of all the prep work it takes to make the most of fashion week (finding and contacting PR for shows, parties and hosting contacts) its essential to have at least one person you can collab with to share ideas, PR contacts, Uber rides etc…..
SHOP NYFW DAY 2 & 3
Day 3
FRIDAY 9/9
9:45 am – Shoot photos for Asos
For day two I choose this off shoulder floral dress from Asos, paired with a brown clutch and a red wrap sandals from torrid. I knew I had to wear a heel with this dress and I remembered how comfortable these were. BTW this dress is currently on sale for less than $40 and I sized down to a 16 (size down if in between sizes).

10:45 – Arrive at metropolitan West Pavillion
Really wanted to catch the girl boss panel featuring women that truly inspired me. If you know my story you know Gabbi (fresh) Greg (AKA YOUNG FAT AND FABULOUS) got me blogging. Although all I wanted to do was sleep after being sleep deprived for days while fighting flu-like symptoms I couldn’t pass up a panel Claire was moderating.

4:00pm : Keynote Chrissy Metz

I was pleasantly surprised by this keynote typically when I think of keynotes I think snooze fest I hope Im, not the only one. However, Chrissy definitely kept the audience engaged I guess that’s why she makes the big bucks. My take away from it don’t take clothes too seriously, whats yours is yours and invest in yourself.
