Hi Chicsters, today’s post is all about the LOFT plus Pop Party that I had the privilege of hosting in partnership with LOFT! I know quite a few of you live outside the DMV area and may not have had a chance to try the pieces out, but the great thing is that they do offer free returns for LOFT plus. Anyway, I digress one of the sentiments I heard over and over from the attendees was how much they had loved LOFT in the past and how glad they were that they could now find both tops & bottoms in their size.
For years plus size babes have been asking brands to be more size inclusive and for whatever reason, I believe there was some hesitation. It’s important for us to show that we actually want this change in the industry and how do we do that by supporting brands that make clothes for us!
For the event, I choose to wear the LOFT plus tropical tie waist midi shirtdress .I guess I wasn’t the only one with the idea because two other attendees showed up in the dress. Naturally, we had to capture it on the gram!! The shirtdress is one of those pieces that can really be styled in so many different ways and coincidentally we each style it differently. I went more classic with purple pumps and a fun bag, one of the attendees choose to pair hers with sneakers and the other open-toed sandals.
I got the dress in a size US 16 and the dress itself feels like a lightweight silk-like fabric perfect for spring/summer. Another standout for many of the customers where the LOFT plus tropicalia riviera shorts. One of the comments I heard was that the shorts are cut with a woman’s figure in mind, not too short with a bit of an aline silhouette.
