By now if you’ve read this blog for some time these tips will look familiar because they are tried an true and are my secret to looking better in clothes and dressing my body in a “flattering” way.
Here are Five Things You Need to Know About Looking Better In Clothes
Know your body type, you cant read without first learning your ABC’s the same goes or dressing your body better you have to know what you are working with.
Emphasize what you love, this is my secret to feeling confident in my clothes and once you feel confident you instantly look better.
Tailor your clothes unless you have a perfect hourglass more times than not your body will not be the exact fit. Investing in having this tailored will instantly make you look better in clothes. A workaround for this is to buy naturally tailored silhouettes like Blazers.
Choose what to buy by how it fits and not the number on the tag, it’s just a number guys. I do have size 22 jeans in my closet as well as a size 10 top that’s how many dress sizes?
Finally, Invest in basics, basics! basics! basics! I feel like I’ve beaten this topic like a dead horse, it’s simple if you have better basics they wear better over time and for the most part the overall fit is just better.
Let’s talk about this Asos dress (on SALE btw) I first saw it on Rochelle and was instantly in love! It’s the kind of dress (only 2 sizes left) I dreamt of designing when I was a teen. Its cut on a bias which is really flattering on the body shows off your curves but the dress is not clingy and it has cutouts everywhere so air can adequately circulate. The only con it will need tailoring around the waist/bust for it to fit me perfectly (see point three). I felt great, really confident in this dress and it doesn’t take much to accessorize this dress I threw on statement earrings (current must have) printed pumps and a straw clutch. Such an easy look to put together!
